Shilo and Graverobber Munny by Lillum Shilo and Graverobber Munny by Lillum
My newest creation. I'm very proud to FINALLY show the world my Repo! The Genetic Opera Munnies from Project: T.Y.S.I.A.G.Y. (Things You See In A Graveyard)

Obviously, to the left is Graverobber (Terrance Zdunich) and the young lady to the right is Shilo Wallace (Alexa Vega)

Penciling:
Graverobber: 2 hours
Shilo: 2 hours

Paint time:
Graverobber: 6 hours
Shilo: 4 1/2 ish hours

Hair planting:
Graverobber: 4 ish hours
Shilo: 5+ hours

fabric clothing:
Graverobber: 3 hours
Shilo: 1 hour

Pen work:
Graverobber: 2+ hours
Shilo: 3 hours

Accessories:
Graverobber: 1 hour

After seeing Repo more than a year ago I knew I had to make figures or collect figures from this movie. Considering at the time that Repo items were difficult to come by. Only time could tell for this movie.

When I first bought the first Munny the initial idea was to make it the Graverobber. Mid way through working on him I bought another one that became Shilo. There was a debate on what outfit to give Shilo. I wanted to start easy so I decided to pick the first outfit she wore in the movie. It's also the first outfit she wore when she met the friendly neighborehood Graverobber.

After penciling them in, it dawned on me: Don't paint everything on. Give them a 3-D aspect. So instead of painting on hair and certain clothes, I made them. I think they look better this way. But for the record, there are scalped barbies now....oops...

These will not be the only Repo Munnies I will produce. I plan to make more. As a matter of fact by the end of the year, I plan to make the nine main characters of the movie:
Repo Man(Yes. I will make the Repo Man and Nathan seperate)
Nathan Wallace
Shilo Wallace
Graverobber
Blind Mag
Rotti Largo
Amber Sweet
Luigi Largo
Pavi Largo

and I will make more than one of Shilo, Amber and Mag. Each one will have a different outfit. For example, This Shilo is wearing her Graveyard outfit. My next Shilo will wear the outfit from the "Seventeen" scene. However, My next project is "Chrommaggia" which will consist of Blind Mag (Sarah Brightman) and Rotti Largo (Paul Sorvino). Mag has been started but no word on when they will be finished. Stay tuned!

Krazy glue or hot glue. Hot glue is easier to use and the fumes aren't as nauseating

There actually not that expensive. You can get them direct from the company that makes them. kidrobot.com Mine are the 4-5 inch ones and only cost about $11

That would be cool, wouldn't it? but no. Pavi will have normal eyes.

I would of used a glowstick for Gravrobber but it would only have a one time use. I think painting with black light sensitive paint was more efficient.

So if I didn't scalp the ZA girls who did?

sorry :P but the scalp comment i meant you..... did scalp the girls XD
and THEY ARE BARBIES

(well execpt for Amber Sweet, she is just lowbudget porno-std infested Skeevy)

come on :) pavi would have been awesome if u could have carved his eyes a lil deeper cuz in the scene where he has his mask sewed on

// with Luigi asking for his GADDAMN coffee and instead gets Rat piss//
((pavi with 3 nurses , i think ))

Quick question: How exactly do you plant the hair onto their head? What do you use?

heh, Super glue...and lots of it. The Graverobber's head took 2 1/2 tubes while Shilo won that battle with 3. I haven't done hair planting yet for Mag. She's still waaaaay to far in her beginning stages. Rotti still hasnt been penciled in and if I cant find grey or silver hair then he might be put on hold. But if I don't start Rotti, who do you think I should make next, "Zydrate Anatomy" Amber or Pavi?

Dx (Bad experience with glue) Wow, that's a lot of glue... Where do you buy the actually Munny figures and the hair you use for them? Hm, I like Amber... But I can't wait to see what you do for Pavi and his... um, face.

Yeah sadly thats how I had to do it. I also figured out the hard way that when you open it you have to do the hair planting all in one sitting otherwise the tube of glue goes hard fast.

The munnies are easiest to find at a store colled Kid Robot. They actually produce the Munny line. you can buy them online at their website if you dont have a store near you. I got mine at a local anime store out here. That might be an easy route for you to obtain one.

As for their hair I went to a local craft store and they have those doll heads that come with x amount of hair on their heads. I found a pack of dolls heads that had brunette and blonde hair so I bought that for the Graverobber. For Shilo, I had to buy a Native American full barbie to get straight black hair. I can't believe they didn't have doll heads that had that hair type. Hair to fully cover a Munnies head will cost you about $4-$5.

If I do decide to make Pavi he will have adetatchable second face. I will even try to make the face feel like flesh. Creepy, huh?

Oh wow.... Don't you buy the craft glue with resealable tubes? Might make it a lot easier when you can take a break when your hands are cramping up.

I don't think I have any anime stores near where I live that sell them.... But I can't order online... (Sounds like I'm S.O.L. huh?) How much do those size Munnies cost?

O-o You... bought doll heads and cut the hair off of them? Wow, I never would've thought of that. xDDD $4-$5? That's not so much. =)

Feel like flesh? Geez, talk about going to extra mile! If you ever do sell them, you could get a lot of munny for them! (Pfft, get it? Munny? Money? ................. I'll shut up now. >-> )

Don't apologise. That was cute. I was thinking of selling them but since I really don't wanna go through the effort of making the same Shilo and Graverobber again I think when I finish all nine of them that I'm gonna give all of them to Terrance. He's the person that deserves them the most.

For hair planting the super glue tubes that have a thin nozzle and a push pin that opens the passage way are the best to use for hair planting them. It's easier to make lines with those and put the hair on by rows. Sucks for your fingertips though.

I do intend to make Pavi's "women" face feel realistic to some degree I hope he comes with a little mirror then he's perfect,

Those munnies are about 4-5 inches tall and costed about $10. There are much larger ones but I think those are a decent size

lol, thanks. Most people don't think I'm jokes are all that great. Oh, cool. Who's Terrance? Could you make a tutorial on one of two of them? I'm very interested in making my own!

That's helpful. =) Are there any easier ways to give a Munny hair other than the tedious hair planting?

Holy poop! I've seen the movie tons of times, but never noticed it was supposed to be a woman's face! O 3o

Thankees for all the tips and info!! ^-^

Sure. No problem. You might remember Alexa Vega from "Spy Kids" other than that I haven't been up to date on all the projects she's up too. Then Terrance, Mr. I worte and starred in Repo....well I think it would be easier if you took a look at his website:
